What is PirateNet? Well, PirateNet is an online-based organization based in many aspects, ranging from data and information moderation, to gaming, to social archiving. PirateNet also operates as a sort of online brotherhood; we look after each other here. That is what PirateNet is all about, uniting like-minded people in a way that can really get things done, and have a bit of fun in the process. 
PirateNet focuses greatly on maintaining an independent voice on the internet. A voice meant to portray the opinions of it's members as well as it's associates. The internet is one massive community, and it is the users of which who make it what it is. As such it is our firm assertions and belief that the users of the web should be treated with the respect they deserve, and by no means be subjected to tyranny or attempts to control or regulate information for their own purposes or means. After all, that's what the internet is for! To share! So it is obviously ridiculous to inhibit that. And that is what we strive for here at PirateNet; keeping that right alive.
PirateNet is also a means to keep in contact. We are a sort of bro-like family here; we look out for each other. Being part of PirateNet means you'll always have some backup. A lot of us are pretty avid gamers as well, so we also stay in contact for online gaming on XBOX Live (XBL), Nintendo WiFi, and PSN, as well as some Online MMOs.
Aside from the members of PirateNet, as discussed, we also have an Alliance system, to which other communities may ally themselves with PirateNet out of like-minded reasons. This is meant for large groups who agree with our notions and opinions, but do not desire to go as far as dedicate a membership to PirateNet, which is perfectly okay; unity is unity after all!
If you would like to join PirateNet as a Member or set up an Alliance with PirateNet, please make a topic in this forum! When making the topic, please be sure to include, in the topic title, your username and the word(s) "Recruitment" or "Join Request" if you would like to become a member, or the name of your community/organization and the word(s) "Alliance" or "Alliance Request" if you are looking for an Alliance with PirateNet.
